RH 8.0 Apache/PHP

Can someone tell me the difference between RH 8.0 Apache's default
configuration for PHP handling:

    <Files *.php>
        SetOutputFilter PHP
       SetInputFilter PHP
       LimitRequestBody 524288
    </Files>

And what "others" say is the main Apache distribution for PHP handling:

    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

or

    AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php

I'm using the RH 8.0 Apache/PHP configuration and all seems to be working
well, but I've been told that these "other" configurations are the way I
should go.

TIA!
