You have to edit the twpol.txt file in /etc/tripwire. Comment out everything that is listed in these lines ### Warning: File system error. ### Filename: /root/.gnome_private ### No such file or directory So you would comment out /root/.gnome_private in the twpol.txt file. Read /usr/share/doc/tripwire-2.3.1/quickstart.txt Assuming you are using that version. It should be there someplace. Or just do locate quickstart.txt and read that file.
