Hi, Iam a new linux user, i just installed RH8 in my PC. I have configured the modem(external 56K), its dialing out, also i can see the log viewer. There is no problem with the h/w detection etc. It also logs in to the network, but after connection, i am not able to view any sites, i think some protocols like UDP/ICMP is working, also iam not able to ping any URL's. could anyone pls help in this issue.
Can you ping by IP address?
For example - try to ping 203.0.178.191 (My ISP DNS server)
We need to figure out whether this is a default route issue or a DNS issue.
