Hi Its not possible to create user name with "." in username. Because when you create username including "." like "imtiaz.ahmed" then "imtiaz" is treated as username "ahmed" is treated is as group. Usually users including "." in user name is created for email and this is possible with Vmailmanager which create virtual domain and virtual user with "." in their user name.
