This in and of itself, could cause a problem.  Some people are blocking 
(as a perhaps ineffective anti-spam measure) email from domains that 
announce themselves with an IP rather than a domain name.

Perhaps the safest way to test is to try it with whatever your server 
uses when it does an ehlo.

Perhaps do a lookup on the IP# you're trying to connect from, and then 
use the name it shows you as the ehlo argument.
