Thanks for the refence to that post. I checked /var/log/secure and don't see an error being logged when that Error 8 happens. It doesn't log anything new. I found this log but I think it is unrelated to this problem: Dec 30 16:45:38 server sshd[25336]: Could not reverse map address 216.115.228.126. Are there any other log files where this could be recorded?
