I had a problem also mount a smb share until I upgraded to 2.2.8. Here
is the command I use:

smbmount "\\\\servername\\sharename" /mountpoint -o
username=domain\\username%password

Hope this helps.

Subject: smb share

hi all

i am having trouble mounting an smb share. I can access it
successfully with the following command smbclient
//server/share -U username.

With the following command: mount -t smbfs -O
username=username //server/share /mnt/dir
Password:
Anonymous login successful
14926: tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRbadpw (Bad password
- name/password pair in a Tree Connect or Session Setup are
invalid.)
SMB connection failed

any idea why please?

Regards
Ian
