The reason for such a message may be the hardware problem with the hard disk itself or its cable. I recommand you run the disk test, for example, 'badblocks' command (of course, in nondestructive read-only mode, -n). If this command will fail with read errors, or the messages you seen will again appear in the kernel log during its execution, I recommend you change the disk.
