Since doing this i've been unable to compile
mod_jk into apache. I need to downgrade the gcc back to 2.96 if i can. Any ideas
how to do this?
I’m saying they might
have, warning are ok to get most of the time. There is a compiler switch
to raise the level of the severity of the warnings so that you are not getting
all of the trivial warning messages. I will say again a warning is not a
error and so you are not wrecking the system and generally if you crank up the
level of the warnings you can get all kinds of them so never to worry just see
if you can live with the warnings you are getting.

Sorry? Are you saying that in
3.x.x they have turned up the warning levels? I'm worried I might have wrecked
the system at the moment :o|

I've managed to
mess up my gcc on my box by trying to install gcc-3.3.2 on it. I now wish to
revert back to the old gcc 2.96 which appears to be a strange one. 2.96 was
not released by GNU and therefore I was wondering if it is available
anywhere? Also, can I do anything to fix the gcc in the meantime. 3.3.2
keeps giving me lots of cross compilation warnings and is behaving
strangely.
