I am new to this list, so this question might have been asked before.
We use RedHat 9 and need to enable the sound card "Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97". The sound card is integrated on the mother board of a Compaq Evo 530c.
The sound card is detected by the Kernel, but when trying to configure it with the "sound configuration utility" we get the following message:
The Intel Corp.|82801EB AC'97 Audio is not currently supported.
Is there a way to make the sound card work?
