I had this problem also. I think samba is waiting for some input because when it happened to me, I could continue booting if I hit Enter n times (where n equals the number of smbfs entries in /etc/fstab). I never found a fix to this, except just to add "noauto" to the fs options in /etc/fstab and then mount the smb filesystems manually.


If anyone knows a fix for this, or knows why it is doing this, let me know.
