Also, in /etc/inittab change
id:3:initdefault: 
to
id:5:initdefault:

That will start the GUI all the time so you don't have to 
type startx.

When doing the install for Red Hat 9, the very last question was if I
wanted
the system to boot to the GUI and I accidentally clicked NO

(1) How do I fix that back to Yes...

(2) Can I launch the GUI from the command prompt?
