RE: Getting Workgroup access from Windows XP Pro to Linux 9

Well I seemed to have solved my problem. I renamed the Linux box to a
different host name like "Linux-Box" instead "localhost" which in the
/etc/hosts file is just an alias for localhost.domain. So I added the new
host name to the host file and walla it seems to work like a champ. All
three XP boxes have access to the Linux box.

I also noticed when I logged in as root my firewall settings where set to
high, which is not what I set them to during installation, so that may have
contributed. I will have to test out which change really did the trick.

Thanks for the help from those who replied.
