Samba and windoze98

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

follows this message part of samba configuration file
(samba-2.2.5-10) before the file share definitions.

Samba server can be accessed from win2K and winXP but
not from win98 although in the same workgroup. The
error returned on windoze is:

>>>Error 53: The computer name specified in the
network path cannot be located. Make sure you are
specifying the computer name correctly or try again
later when the remote computer is available. <<<

Note that prior verion of samba (samba-2.0.7-36) with
the same config is accessible from win98.

Is there any changes i should add for win98 to
operate?

Please advise
Thanks
Nathalie
