follows this message part of samba configuration file (samba-2.2.5-10) before the file share definitions. Samba server can be accessed from win2K and winXP but not from win98 although in the same workgroup. The error returned on windoze is: >>>Error 53: The computer name specified in the network path cannot be located. Make sure you are specifying the computer name correctly or try again later when the remote computer is available. <<< Note that prior verion of samba (samba-2.0.7-36) with the same config is accessible from win98. Is there any changes i should add for win98 to operate? Please advise Thanks Nathalie [global] workgroup = zyx server string = Samba Server II hosts allow = 127. aaa.bbb.xxx. aaa.bbb.yyy. log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m max log size = 50 security = user encrypt passwords = yes smb passwd file = /etc/smbpasswd username map = /etc/samba/smbusers socket options = TCP_NODELAY logon path = \\%L\%U __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
