I have run various versions of RedHat on various ThinkPads and the biggest issue I ran into was setting up sound on an older 380Z model with RH 7.2 I believe. I now run RH 9 on a ThinkPad X22 with 512mb. I work off the built in NIC at work and wireless with an Ornoco Gold card.
