is this the entire /etc/ntpd.conf?

from a previous post of yours and this is really ntpd.conf right?:
/ntp.config
server rolex.usg.edu prefer
server timex.usg.edu
server timex.cs.columbia.edu

#
server  127.127.1.0     # local clock
fudge   127.127.1.0     stratum 10
