We have discussed this before. And you mentioned:
irqs_sumstruct kernel_stat {
unsigned long irqs_sum;
unsigned int softirqs[NR_SOFTIRQS];
};
The softirqs field is an unsigned int, so the new function doesn't have
this inconsistency.
