Are there any know/new issues? Hmmm... This sounds similar to an issue we had with older mdadm - v3.3 or v3.4. But that's long fixed. (On reboot, one two-disk mirror would become two one-disk mirrors!) My only guess is that the upgrade is then causing an unclean shutdown, which is making the system think the two drives aren't properly mirrored at boot. Cheers, Wol
