[PATCH 0/2] mdadm fixes for Policy in mdadm.conf

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Two related patches.
First adds documentation for the "part-policy" line - did you know
where was one?
Second fixes a problem with using "path=" in policy lines.
I had assumed that each device has exactly one "path", but this is
not the case. As kernel changes can result in the path changing from
release to release, some distros provide compatability aliases.
This is doubtlessly a good idea, but confuses mdadm.

The second patch teaches mdadm that a given disk can have multiple
paths.

Thanks,
NeilBrown
