HOWEVER Reading through that bug report, it seems clear to me that this particular instance of the bug actually lies in the LVM layer. The implication is that this bug is not *the* problem. I'm guessing there's more to it, but it would be great if this has identified at least one of the causes - namely that maximum buffer sizes aren't been shrunk when required.
