Hi, I pushed a bunch of patches into mdadm to deal with gcc-8.1 being a lot stricter about string operations. While I haven't seen anything break from this, I would appreciate it if you could help out test it. 4.1 got sidetracked a bit, but lets try to get back on track and get it out sooner rather than later. If you have any urgent patches, now is a good time to send them out.
