Western Digital giving away dual port pcie (2 lane) hba's

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I got my hands on some of the hba's that Western Digital are providing
along with their 3TB Green power harddrives. They didn't cost any extra
then the bare drives. I believe the hba's are being supplied along with
the drives to get around a potential bios size limitation of ~ 2.3TB and
allow these drives to function correctly under windoze.

These hba's are a rocket raid 62X sporting a Marvell 88SE9125-NAA2
chipset.

Can anyone tell me whether these are going to be reliable enough to use
for extra sata ports in md raid scenarios?

Thanks,
