[PATCH 0/2] mdadm: takeover for external meta

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello Neil,
The following series implements takeover support for external metadata
in mdadm. A few changes were made after Dan's last review:

1. Now mdadm checks the return value from update_super() and according to
that it runs mdmon and flushes the update or it continue without mdmon.
In other words external handler now decides if metadata update is needed
after md switch the level (0->10 vs 0->5 scenarions).
2. imsm_dev reallocation was added to fit additional missing disks in case
   when second map is needed.

Regards.
Maciek
