Kernel 2.6 Problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

In order to configure my Sun 420, with an a1000 array, I try out to update
my kernel from 2.4 to kernel-image-2.6.8-2-sparc64-smp, but when I finish
the install and reboot to have the changes to take efect, I lost the
keyboard and console, then I'm only able to connect remotely (SSH), Is there
any discussion similar to this?, Is it a known problem?.

According to Gordon instructions, I MUST have kernel 2.6 in order to
configure one raid-1 and one raid-6.

And something out of my problem, is why the answers to the posts made here
are sent direct to the lister and CCed to the list, Isn't better to sent it
all to the list itself? unless the CCed is not part of the list.

Thanks in advance

Enrique
