Way ahead of you; that I immediately updated the kernel speaks for itself.
Do you use the official SUSE kernel, or an experimental, or self-built, one ?

I plan to try it all in distinct steps, so to better isolate an error. So for
now I'm just playing around a bit. I attached and formatted several SATA
drives, one onboard (ICH5), one on a noname silicon_image card, and a last
one on a promise TX2. I copied around some big files and stuff like that.
After trying that now it is building a raid5 over three disks (temporarily,
instead of the eventual six disks).
In the meantime, do you have any specific tests or actions I can try out to
maybe trigger the bug you experienced ?
