However, having said that, I can recommend Managing RAID on Linux by Derek Vadala, published by O'Reilly I know about it because I helped with the technical review. It is reasonably well balanced with general introduction material, some technical details, and some practical sys-admin guidelines. It is certainly an adequate text, and may well be a very good text.
