I added some bits of support.  It may be enough, but I don't use
multipath and am not really in a position to try it.

mdadm should recognise and report "multipath" and alias "mp" as valid
raid levels (I've just updated the man page accordingly).
It should also understand that multipath can meaningfully have
spares.

Is any other support needed?
Could you try it out and see?
