I posted a question awhile ago about booting from a RAID partition...well, I now have real hardware (hurrah!) and am experimenting...and so far, I have been unable to get the system to boot from my RAID-1 partition. Can anyone who has setup a system to boot from RAID-1 provide any help (notes you might have, perhaps even a silo.conf file)? Also, I tried specifying the root raid array on the boot line by giving: md=5,/dev/sda2,/dev/sdb2,/dev/sdd2,/dev/sde2 and the kernel re-constructs the array just fine (in this case using a non-raid disk to boot from as I haven't gotten it to boot from a raid partition). However, it fails to mount the partition as the root file system...is this available only for the Intel architecture? --David - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-raid" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
