That would be the ever-helpful Enigmail extension. I normally go to extreme
length to make sure that patches are not mangled (disabling line wrapping and
the like) - but Enigmail typically changes content again (I believe it inserts
whitespace before *some* minus signs at the start of a line.) for that.
