Patch seems to fix the problem in latest Git code but not in 2.0. Don't understand why and haven't got time to try and investigate right now. Maybe it's related to the fact that in 2.0 (source) there are three files README[.html[.in]] while in Git it's just README.html.in? Also, not sure whether the missing functionality in 2.0 is an issue at all as I think a new release would be good anyway.
