Result: it moves the streams from mpv (including active ones) between headphones and HDMI, approximately as expected. So I suggest either adding a patch to the series that prohibits module-stream-restore from restoring the device, or adding an explicit "follow the default sink" target for moving playback streams to. And VLC does its own selection of playback device, so the module has no effect on it. -- Alexander E. Patrakov
