They don't really. Sadly I started playing with this before I realised those patched existed. I did speak to Arun before and he did say there was a bug open about it but I stupidly didn't look for it first (I assumed it was a feature request rather than an implementation+patch - d'oh!). That said, I have taken a slightly different approach which I think solves one of the problems of the original patch (that is matching up to the appropriate socket= argument (or the default value thereof) when loading module-native-protocol-unix. I did add a comment to the bug when I noticed it after :D https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78701 Some bits are quite similar, but I did do a few things which I think are nice to distributors (like adding the appropriate socket.target.wants/pulseaudio.socket symlinks. Ultimately it seem work on those patches stalled. I am happen to take over and finish them off or incorporate the missing bits from my series from the other one. Either way, I'll try and get this finalised in the very near future as my experience running it this way is much nicer. Cheers!
