Equalizer on Pulseaudio with Multiseat Setup

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I successfully configured a multiseat setup with pulseaudio, but I am not
able to access qpaeq to alter equalizer settings. I have had some limited
success with it but currently it's not working. As well I have had similar
success using pulseaudio-equalizer.

When I try to load qpaeq it gives me this error:
There was an error connecting to pulseaudio, please make sure you have the
pulseaudio dbus module loaded, exiting...

But when I do this:
pactl load-module module-dbus-protocol

I get this:
Failure: Module initialization failed

Sound is working, and I can select either the pulseaudio-equalizer sink or
the qpaeq sink in sound preferences, but I cannot adjust settings.

With pulseaudio-equalizer, I get:
No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.

I can run pulseaudio-equalizer --system and I get:
No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.
No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.
No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.
No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.
PulseAudio Equalizer/LADSPA Processor 2.7 (05/02/2010)
No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon.

Equalizer status: [disabled]
Equalizer configuration status: [enabled]
Equalizer plugin: [mbeq_1197/mbeq]
Equalizer control: [30.0,30.0,26.7,19.8,14.8,6.6,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0]
NOTE: Using user-customized settings from
'/home/phoenix/.config/pulse/equalizerrc'...

Still, I have no reliable method to adjust sound settings. Is there any
suitable solution?
