Hello, This is mostly an administrivia email to keep the community in the loop. The actual details are horribly boring. :-) As you might know, PulseAudio participated in the Google Summer of Code this year, for which the mentors are paid USD 500 each. The mentors decided to pool in this money to spend on project-related expenses such as conference travel and hardware as needed in the future. The standard procedure for holding this money in an open source project is to find an umbrella not-for-profit organisation that can hold the money for you. After some discussion and looking at the options available, we approached the GNOME Foundation who have kindly agreed to be our fiscal sponsor. Do note that this is purely a matter of financial administration. The technical direction of PulseAudio will continue to be desktop-agnostic as it has been. The two are not related. Regards, Arun
