Hi folks, You've got to admit multiseat is a cool application for a big multicore machine. I've enjoyed tinkering with it over the years. But after the last os update it took a turn. I've followed suggestions in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MultiseatX#Pulseaudio to allow pulse to work independently across seats on one machine. Unfortunately, their suggestion to use a system-wide daemon doesn't really work in ubuntu 12.04... each user is only able to set the global output device. It was a little more workable in 10.04 where I could choose the audio output device each audio client got. That doesn't appear to be an option now. Is there a workaround you guys could suggest that allows for pulse to run with multiple seats independently? I wouldn't mind if the user had to choose again whenever logging into a different seat. It is pretty cool to have hdmi video cards now so I can have audio routed through each video card, but it's sad that I can only actually use one at a time. I have three nvidia 8400s and one nvidia onboard, so this will be a nice way to run everyone once it's all done. thanks -- Brad Midgley -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
