Hi! I saw the soundcard working already with Pulseaudio, but now it doesn?t. Its a martin at merkaba:~> lsusb | grep Midiman Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0763:2007 Midiman M-Audio Sonica Theater on a ThinkPad T520. Since I now simply want to watch a movie without further ado, I will remove pulseaudio once again and try whether that works. Nonetheless here is what I got in syslog: Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba kernel: [ 53.113911] usb 2-1.1: new full speed USB device number 4 using ehci_hcd Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba kernel: [ 53.242880] usb 2-1.1: New USB device found, idVendor=0763, idProduct=2007 Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba kernel: [ 53.242892] usb 2-1.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba kernel: [ 53.242899] usb 2-1.1: Product: Sonica Theater Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba kernel: [ 53.242904] usb 2-1.1: Manufacturer: M- Audio Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba mtp-probe: checking bus 2, device 4: "/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.1" Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba mtp-probe: bus: 2, device: 4 was not an MTP device Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba kernel: [ 53.315483] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio Nov 19 21:47:05 merkaba pulseaudio[1666]: [pulseaudio] alsa-mixer.c: Volume element PCM has 8 channels.
