For one boot, you can do this with modprobe -r or ... Thanks for the background. I've blacklisted snd-pcm-oss and removed it with modprobe -r. I had to also blacklist snd_seq_oss (love the inconsisten hyphenation) but now the problem seems to have gone away. Thanks again! -Brandon
