I'm personally not sure where the problem lies (Lennart may have more clue here), but I was thinking that it could be related to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=534130 mainly due to Lennart mentioning the first patch in that bug report and the second one being a followup to the first one.
