Sure. But the sink still has its own stream-independent volume. The only
difference between the current logic and the very old logic is that
while the sink volume reflected the real hardware mixer value before,
now it reflects something called "sink reference volume". When the user
changes this volume, all streams' volume changes (not only the currently
playing streams, but also every future stream), just like it has always
has been.
