Setting latency of module-loopback

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello!

My soundcard (terratec phase 26) doesn't automatically echo any input. Since
I wan't to be able to hear what I play, I want to rout the mic-in to the
phone-out.
This works:

pactl load-module module-loopback
source=alsa_input.usb-TerraTec_PHASE_26_USB_24_96rec__11001-00.analog-stereo
sink=alsa_output.usb-TerraTec_PHASE_26_USB_16_48__11001-00.analog-surround-41

but has a rather high latency by default. According to the docs i should be
able to set a lower latency, but

pactl load-module module-loopback
source=alsa_input.usb-TerraTec_PHASE_26_USB_24_96rec__11001-00.analog-stereo
sink=alsa_output.usb-TerraTec_PHASE_26_USB_16_48__11001-00.analog-surround-41
latency_msec=1

fails.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a more elegant solution to my
problem?

I'm using pulseaudio 0.9.18 on a recent ubuntu 9.10.

Thank by the way for writing pulseaudio!

Mvh,
Tor-bj?rn Claesson
