'Twas brillig, and Leszek Koltunski at 19/10/09 09:38 did gyre and gimble: > Now, I would make me one happy duck if I could somehow tell Pulse to > automatically route audio to hw:1.0 whenever I am working on the TV, > that is, whenever DISPLAY is "1.0". Should be simple, PULSE_SINK= env var does that for you. But a better option in your case is x11 properties. Pulse can get it's configuration from the X11 Root window, e.g. "xprop -root" Just set the PULSE_SINK xprop on the root window of DISPLAY 1.0 and you're all set. You can get the name you want to use via "pacmd list-sinks" Nice easy one to answer that :D Col -- Colin Guthrie gmane(at)colin.guthr.ie http://colin.guthr.ie/ Day Job: Tribalogic Limited [http://www.tribalogic.net/] Open Source: Mandriva Linux Contributor [http://www.mandriva.com/] PulseAudio Hacker [http://www.pulseaudio.org/] Trac Hacker [http://trac.edgewall.org/]
