module-rtp-sink not being loaded at startup

Hi all,

Having a surplus of computers (!) I'm making myself a multi-room audio
system based on Pulseaudio. And very nice it is too, I'm remarkably
impressed by it all. I'm going to have a few questions probably but I'll
start with this one.

I'm having trouble getting the RTP Multicast Sink to start on login.
I've configured it using paprefs 'Enable Multicast/RTP sender' and
'Create separate audio device for Multicast/RTP'. (I like this by the
way, it's so flexible). Now when I boot I have the following module
loaded (according to paman)

module-null-sink sink_name=rtp format=s16be channels=2 rate=44100
description="RTP Multicast Sink"

but sending a stream to it makes that stream disappear into nowhere,
which is understandable. If I then use paprefs to disable and then
re-enable RTP, I get this module in addition

module-rtp-send source=rtp.monitor loop=0

and now RTP works correctly.

Why is module-rtp-send not being loaded when I start up? The appropriate
settings appear to have been saved when I look in gconf-editor. I have
previously used padvchooser but I'm no longer running it. Could that
have affected things? I'm using ubuntu 8.10 with pulseaudio 0.9.10 on
the machine that has this problem.

Thanks,

Mark
