Hi Patrick 'Twas brillig, and Patrick McMichael at 14/12/09 02:01 did gyre and gimble: > I am new to this list and am trying to get to the bottom of some sound > issues I've been struggling through for a while now. I'm afraid I wont be much help as I'm not overly familiar with HDMI audio, but I would suggest trying to bypass PA and play something via ALSA directly to test to see if this is a PA problem or something lower down in the stack. IIRC it should just be a matter of doing something like: aplay -D hdmi:0 foo.wav (although I could be wrong in that - I'm sure a bit of searching can confirm if I'm talking out of my arse!) Sorry for the late reply - the ML was down for a while.
