Hello, I am still struggling to get bluetooth working with the latest and the greatest pulseaudio despite all the useful information I have read on this mailing list and elsewhere on the internet. So, let us check my configuration: >bluez 4.35 check. (even 4.36) >pulseaudio 0.9.15 (final!) check. >kernel 2.6.29 with http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/devel/kernel/git- bluetooth.patch?revision=1.2 applied check. >gnome-bluetooth 2.27.4 I have blueman 1.2, but that probably doesn't matter, because it connects to the headset just fine (I have tried using dbus-send commands for both Audio and Headser too). Besides, hcitool con says after any type of connection: Connections: < ACL 00:11:22:00:11:22 handle 42 state 1 lm SLAVE now, pulseaudio -vvvvv says following upon headset connection (): D: module-hal-detect.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: bluetooth-util.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-console-kit.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-hal-detect.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Audio, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: bluetooth-util.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Audio, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-console-kit.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Audio, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-hal-detect.c: dbus: interface=org.freedesktop.Hal.Manager, path=/org/freedesktop/Hal/Manager, member=DeviceAdded D: bluetooth-util.c: dbus: interface=org.freedesktop.Hal.Manager, path=/org/freedesktop/Hal/Manager, member=DeviceAdded D: module-console-kit.c: dbus: interface=org.freedesktop.Hal.Manager, path=/org/freedesktop/Hal/Manager, member=DeviceAdded D: module-hal-detect.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: bluetooth-util.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-console-kit.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-hal-detect.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: bluetooth-util.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-console-kit.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Headset, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-hal-detect.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Audio, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: bluetooth-util.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Audio, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged D: module-console-kit.c: dbus: interface=org.bluez.Audio, path=/org/bluez/5511/hci0/dev_00_11_22_00_11_22, member=PropertyChanged That actually looks good! But no new sinks/sources/servers/input_devices/output_devices appear... Similar output from dbus-send --system --dest=org.bluez --type=method_call /org/bluez/$(pidof bluetoothd)/hci0/dev_00_18_42_00_03_47 org.bluez.Audio.Connect (or Headset.Connect) Otherwise pulseaudio works fine with my notebooks sound card. Bluetooth headset is paired and works fine with e.g. mplayer -ao alsa:device=bluetooth file.wav, so no problems should be here. Unless gnome-bluetooth does matter that much, I'm completely puzzled. Hope you can give me some directions. -- Erik Boritsch, University of Trier.
