pulseaudio crashing

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

Recently I have been getting frequent crashes with Pulseaudio 0.9.10
in Debian (lenny). When they occur, one CPU spikes to 100% for about
25 seconds before the process dies.
Running pulseaudio from the console, the following messages appear
when it crashes:

Soft CPU time limit exhausted, terminating.
Hard CPU time limit exhausted, terminating forcibly.
Aborted

I don't know how I can debug this better. I installed the
pulseaudio-dbg packages, and tried increasing the verbosity of output
with -vvv, but I don't get anything useful.
I haven't noticed any particular cause for the crashes. The frequency
of crashes can be as close as 3 mins or as far apart as hours.

What can I do to help track down the problem?

Thanks in anticipation,

James
