Heya! Since yesterday PA glitch-free is available in Fedora Rawhide. If you feel adventurous, please try it out and file bugs in the PA BTS (not rhbz, please, I don't like bz.) Please note that glitch-free PA triggers a bug in the ALSA HDA drivers. This will cause PA to detect buffer underruns much more often than they actually happen. The day before yesterday Takashi prepared a fix for this. So if you want to test glitch-free PA, you *must* apply this patch, unless you are one of the 10% or so of people remaining who have something that is not an HDA sound card. http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2008-May/007856.html Please also note that module-combine and module-tunnel are not working in glitch-free yet. Most other stuff should work fine however. If not: file bugs or ping me on IRC. The glitch-free branch is now merged into trunk again, in SVN. So if you want to try this out on non-Fedora make sure to checkout trunk from SVN. And if you are not sure what all this glitch-free foo is about, then read this blog article I posted a while back: http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/pulse-glitch-free.html Lennart -- Lennart Poettering Red Hat, Inc. lennart [at] poettering [dot] net ICQ# 11060553 http://0pointer.net/lennart/ GnuPG 0x1A015CC4
