No sound with M-Audio Audiophile 2496

Well, it seems that this is a common problem among Audiophile users and
PulseAudio... The verbose helped me to do a little research and relevant
errors exist in the launchpad and bugtracker. Let's hope it will be fixed,
since I'd really like to use Pulseaudio for my degree final assigment (i
chose to make an animation and all its sound with open source tools and also
compare between them and propriety commercial software :P i'm glad they
accepted the subject!)
