I've JFDI, past tense. Updated manpage slightly and pulseaudio --help slightly. http://tiyukquellmalz.org/pa_check_doc_tweak.patch It's good for new users - I didn't know about the convention for daemon checks to only bump the exit code until, say, a year after I first installed Linux. Of course, we could also put an entire guide to using Linux in our manpage, or tell users how to check the exit code with $?, or how to get to the terminal, or an example script, ... (you can see how this would quickly get out of control). So just a little bit more hint should be good for now. John? Does this work for you? I don't suppose it would make sense to add "(only returns >> exit code)" to the man pages, since it's the only pulseaudio command >> that works this way? > > JFDI! > > I'd merge any properly git-formatted patch for this without > hesitation! > > Lennart > > -- > Lennart Poettering Red Hat, Inc. > lennart [at] poettering [dot] net ICQ# 11060553 > http://0pointer.net/lennart/ GnuPG 0x1A015CC4 > _______________________________________________ > pulseaudio-discuss mailing list > pulseaudio-discuss at mail.0pointer.de > https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-discuss >
