I don't have anything to do with OSS2Pulse, but I haven't heard anything about it in a long long time, so yes, I reckon it's pretty dead. There was some discussion on the kernel mailing list in August about integrating a different OSS emulation solution based on CUSE. The website for that solution it is here: http://userweb.kernel.org/~tj/ossp/ Reports on the kernel list claim it works well, but I haven't tried it myself at all. In fact, I haven't even visited that URL.
