Jim, I attached a zip file with all the important pieces to my current project. There is the low level python app, which works because of the permissions set by restart_pulse.sh. There is also the simple php app that allows control of the python app to provide the whole home audio setup. I have also included the mpd config files to show how I provide the 4 different audio sources. Let me know if you have any questions/patches.
